Big appreciation to everyone who donated towards our equipment fundraising campaign. We have reached out goal! These funds will help us purchase additional grooming equipment to help our dedicated volunteer groomers work on our trails!

For the 2023-24 season, the Pagosa Nordic Club will be fundraising to update some of our outdated grooming equipment. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to add to the recently awarded $20,000 from the Pagosa Area Tourism Board to cover equipment purchases up to $30,000.

Additional equipment we are anticipating purchasing includes: A new YTS Ginzu Trail Groomer and 2 snowmobiles for towing trail groomers.

The Tourism Board’s grant is based on the PNC raising the additional $10,000 towards our equipment purchases.

Pagosa Nordic Club covers annual operational expenses with annual funding revenues from club memberships, business sponsorships and general donations. These revenues cover the costs of liability insurance to protect PNC and ski trail venue property owners, fuel/oil/parts for equipment and trail supplies. However, to update equipment we conduct fundraisers from time to time and we have received generous grant funding support from the Town of Pagosa Springs, Archuleta County and Tourism Board. These grants come with an obligation to fund raise a portion of the proposed equipment expenditures. For this year, the Tourism Board has provided 2/3 of the need funding and we are reaching out to the community to raise the remaining 1/3 of the needed funding. In essence, your generous donation is being matched two times by the Tourism Grant!
