New to Nordic? PNC recommends starting with Classic cross country skiing. Our ski instructors find that Skate skiing is very difficult for those who are completely new to cross country style skiing.
Nordic BC style skis are great for getting off the groomed trails to explore the quieter spaces with deeper snow. Skiers can use Nordic BC style skis on groomed trails. However, for groomed trails, the extra weight of Nordic BC skis is unnecessary and the skis are too wide to fit in the groomed track.
